Library Director - DeWitt Public Library

The DeWitt Public Library seeks energetic, community minded Director with vision for the future.  Requires MLS from ALA accredited university and a Michigan level 1 Librarian's Permanent Professional Certificate.  Successful candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, working understanding of current library technology, fiscal knowledge, and ability to work effectively with library board, library employees, and the community.

The DeWitt Public Library is a Class V library, currently operating in a 6,000 sq. ft. primary facility.  The library board  is requesting voters approve the construction of a new 20,000-25,000 sq. ft. district library building in August, 2008.  Projected 2008 circulation is 250,000.

Salary:  Previous director made $55,080 and benefit package.  Salary commensurate with experience.
