Summer Reading Begins

     DeWitt Public Library page, Nick Luciano and guest The Click-it Cricket, enthusiastically greeted kids during the kick-off  of “Catch the Reading Bug” summer reading program.  Each year children and their parents are invited to celebrate the beginning of summer reading with a traditional chalking of the library sidewalks.  This year’s festivities brought out over 100 area kids and their parents during the afternoon heat on Wednesday, June 11^th.   To keep participants cool and hydrated, water bottles were supplied by Dr. Faust and Dr. Grubaugh.  The Click-it Cricket, coloring books and stickers were supplied by the Michigan Office of Highway Safety and Planning.
