Notary Services

The DeWitt District Library offers basic notary services at no cost.

Notary services are typically available Monday - Friday, though this can vary depending on staff availability. Please call us ahead at 517-669-3156 to ensure a notary is available.

Essential Information:

• A valid photo ID is required.
• Documents must be signed in front of the notary.
• Persons seeking notaries are responsible for knowing their document, the type of notary and where to sign. By law, notaries cannot give legal advice or explain documents. Please seek legal advice or contact the document issuing or receiving agency if help is needed.
